Storyline!
Baber is a junior in high school and Rose is a nurse struggling with alcoholism twice his age. To make matters worse, Rose is also the mother of Babar’s friend Shirley. But despite their unlikely pairing, Babar and Rose enter into a forbidden relationship after being arranged by Babar’s friends Ransom and Shirley. They try their best to hide their relationship from Shirley, but eventually all the secrets come out and her truth is revealed in the cinema: Shirley pierces Rose’s midriff. As a result, Rose becomes pregnant with Baber’s child, and the two must decide whether to continue their unconventional love while raising the child, or go their separate ways and let Shirley live with her father.
