Storyline!

After ten years of marriage, Tom and Julie are aware that their union is dying a slow death. His professor’s wife retreats into a book or assesses students’ papers while he, busy and still figuring things out after a promotion, spends his evenings watching television and weekends obsessively working on advertising strategies. The wife of Geoffrey, Tom’s closest friend, phones them one night in an effort to locate her husband after he’s been gone on business for three days. She believes he is having an affair. She is a woman on the verge of a breakdown. Later that evening, the charming and slightly helpless Geoffrey makes an appearance with his mistress Heather.
