Miracle on 34th Street 1947 DVD
Storyline!
Miracle on 34th Street 1947, At the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the actor playing Santa Claus is found drunk by an old man with a mustache. Special Events Director Doris Walker persuades him to step into his shoes. He creates a sensation and is quickly hired to play Santa in the main store. When he succeeds, Doris learns that he calls himself Kris Kringle and claims to be the real Santa Claus.
Despite the doctor’s confirmation that she is harmless, Doris still has her doubts, especially since she has cynically taught herself, especially her six-year-old daughter Susan, to reject all hope and fantasy. But people, especially Susan, are starting to notice that Chris and his determination to spread the true spirit of Christmas amidst the rampant commercialism around him is special, and he’s achieving incredible success. When a heated conflict erupts with Storr’s woefully inept therapist, Granville Sawyer, she ends up in Bellevue, where in desperation she deliberately fails a psychological test to confirm her commitment.
