Storyline!
Disc jockey Dave Garber (Clint Eastwood) attracts the lustful attention of a deranged fan named Evelyn Draper (Jessica Walter). Evelyn asks Dave to take her to the bar. Later at her apartment, Evelyn confesses that she is a cold caller who repeatedly asks Dave to play Errol Garner’s classic Misty. Since then, the film has been a lesson in how casual dating can transform your entire life. He destroys his belongings and eventually threatens to kill his girlfriend Toby Williams (Donna Mills). You’ll never hear this song again without looking over your shoulder.
