Storyline!
Can a Little Rock girl find happiness with a mature French planter she met one beautiful evening away from the military hospital where she works? Should she simply wash the man’s hair out of her hair? Bloody Mary is the island’s philosopher, and it’s difficult to believe she’s the mother of Liat, who has captured the heart of Lt. Joseph Cable USMC. Sailors and nurses put on a musical comedy show while waiting for combat in the South Pacific war. As the war approaches, the story of Nellie Forbush and Emile de Becque becomes a serious drama.
