Storyline!
The Godfather 1972, Don Corleone, also known as the Godfather, is the leader of the New York-based Corleone crime family. He is attending his daughter’s wedding. Vito’s youngest son, Michael, a decorated World War II Marine, is also attending the wedding. Michael doesn’t seem interested in joining the family business. Vito is one of the most powerful people in the world, and he’s always nice to anyone who shows him respect, but he’s not so kind to anyone who doesn’t. However, when Vito’s rival, a powerful and treacherous individual, attempts to sell drugs in exchange for the Don’s patronage, he refuses to do so. What happens next is a battle between Vito’s decaying old ways and the new ways, which may lead Michael to do the one thing he’s never wanted to do: start a mafia war against the other Corleone families that could bring the whole family down.
