Storyline!
Women in Love 1969, The battle of the sexes and relations between elites in the British industrial Midlands in the 1920s. Gerald Grich and Rupert Bergin are best friends who fall in love with two sisters: sculptor Gudrun and teacher Ursula Brangwen. Rupert marries Ursula, Gerald begins an affair with Gudrun, and the four honeymoon in Switzerland.
But as Russell explores the nature of commitment and love, the relationship takes a completely different turn. Rupert and Ursula learn to surrender to each other. In the end, the more withdrawn Gerald cannot cope with the demanding and challenging Gudrun.
