For the Love of a Child 2006 DVD
Storyline!
In 1959, U.S. support from bases within Asia and then from the Continental U.S. allows two actresses to begin a charity for “orphans” who suffer the outcast status of mixed-race children. From this as the origin, Childhelp, which today operates multi-disciplinary centers in the States for abused and neglected children, emerged. One such child is the brilliant Jacob Fletcher, whose stepfather, a lawyer, scarred him with deep psychological trauma and later retrieves him from a 10-month jail term. Young Jacob’s contemporaries all carry painful burdens as well, but it is the skilled, caring professionals who assist most of them today on the former farm, primarily using animal-assisted therapy.
