Storyline!
After the death of Jean Cader, his wife returns to the life of an opera singer and his daughter Manon grows up to be a lonely and glorious shepherdess. Ugulin is now a wealthy 30-year-old bachelor who grows cloves. Her grandfather Cesar Soubiran urged her to marry to carry on the family name because he is the last living male. Seeing Manon in the field, Ugolin falls in love with her. One day, Manon plots revenge on Ogulin and Caesar and brings despair to the whole city.
