Venus in Fur 2013 DVD

Storyline!

Venus in Fur, After a long and unsuccessful audition for the title role in his new play, an adaptation of Leopold von Sacher-Massoch’s 1870 novel “Venus in Furs,” director Tomas Novacek is tired, frustrated, and ready to quit his job for the day. And so, soaked to the bone, Wanda enters a dark and eerily empty theater in Paris, ready to test her luck and Thomas’s patience. But when the determined young actress, who is unsuited to the role, enters the stage, a spectacular miracle occurs that transforms the mysterious Wanda into the novel’s central female character, Wanda Von Denajou. There is no way back. And the line between reality and fantasy, between indifference and obsession, between master and servant is becoming increasingly difficult.
