The Piano 1993 DVD

Storyline!

It is the middle of the 19th century. Ada cannot speak and has a young daughter named Flora. Due to an arranged marriage, he leaves his native Scotland, taking his daughter and his beloved piano with him. Life in the harsh jungle of New Zealand’s North Island is not what she imagined, and neither is her relationship with her new husband Stuart.

When Stewart sells his piano to his neighbor George, he experiences pain and loss. Ada learns from George that if she gives piano lessons she might be able to get her piano back, but there are other conditions. At first, Ada despises George, but gradually their relationship changes, which puts her in a bad situation.
